Democracy isn’t just a concept found in textbooks; it’s what we live, feel, and build every single day. Welcome to the YOUDEX Digital Zine, a collaborative space where young people from across Europe share their stories in participating in our democratic society.

What is YOUDEX?

YOUDEX is an Erasmus + project with the objective to provide youth with tools and spaces to collect and share lived experiences of democracy, empowering peers to learn, enjoy and enforce their participation rights in democratic societies.

Inside this Zine, you’ll find:

  • Authentic Stories: Relatable tales of how democracy impacts our daily lives.

  • Unfiltered Creativity: Artistic expressions and narratives that challenge traditional views on civic participation.

  • Diverse Perspectives: A mosaic of European voices proving that your way of participating is valid, necessary, and powerful.

Now is your turn!

Have you felt part of a change? Do you have a story, an illustration, an article, or a reflection on democracy that you want the world to see? Share it with us!

  • Prepare your content: Text, art, photography, or reflections.

  • Send it our way: Email us at [email protected] with the subject line “YOUDEX Zine Submission.”

  • Get featured: We’ll be in touch to include your contribution in the zine!

Using Youth-Led Participatory Action Research (YPAR), they took a deep dive into the emotions that come when their lives and futures are taken out of their hands, and figured out how to turn this into collective action and empowerement.

VOLT Documentary

The VOLT documentary follows the learning journey of three schools that came together through the VOLT project. The project supports teachers and students with tools to study local volcanoes from a cross sector perspective, including historical, geographical, geological, and societal dimensions. It also promotes new pedagogical practices such as Inquiry Based Learning.
