🟢 Green practices:
We spend a lot of time outdoors, have every week a schooltrip to free nature and we observe and talk a lot about our environment, the changes and our impact. We try to form environmentally aware pupils through their direct experience and a lot of talking in various situations.
🟠 Inclusion practices:
We are happy to accept different people, both adults and children, with different background, talents or disabilities to show, that people are different and even if sometimes it is difficult, it is also normal and beneficial, because people are different. We employ colleagues with disabilities, refugees, foreigners, whoever sho is willing and beneficial for our organization. We also try to provide safe space for families with pupils with various disabilities, as we believe inclusion is the best for them and when conditions cannot be made at our school, we support them as homeschoolers.

Trekkify is a sport association, specifically focused on outdoor activities and mountain sports.
The primary aim of the association is that of bringing beginners closer to trekking and outdoor activities raising awareness about environmental issues and healthy lifestyle.
Furthermore, Trekkify’s sports experiences are aimed at promoting sustainable development, integration and social inclusion.
🟠 Inclusion practices:
Trekkify is involved in a few local and EU activities aimed to increase social inclusion through outdoor.
One of those activities are related to the Erasmus+ project RURAAC project .
The project aims to promote the social inclusion of people with intellectual disability in rural areas through augmentative alternative communication (AAC) in outdoor experiences and the use of local natural assets.
AAC is an approach that aims to offer an alternative mode of communication through simplified language to those who risk being excluded from communication because of their condition. ACC and its application in rural areas is the main focus of the RURAAC project.
The RURAAC methodology to guarantee that everyone feels welcome and has the ability to learn and grow is the co-design methodology.
Indeed, the project focuses on the implementation of inclusive educational activities where adults with intellectual disabilities, their educators and members of the local community cooperate to design and create AAC material to promote their own natural heritage.

Base3 is a social enterprise, specifically focused on social innovation and entrepreneurship. Furthermore, Base3 activities are aimed at promoting sustainable development, integration and social inclusion, both at the local, national and the EU level.
🟠 Inclusion practices:
We aim at promoting social inclusion by designing free and open source tools to boost the empowerment of people with intellectual disabilities (PID) by becoming more active, responsible, and responsive citizens.
To this end, in the framework of the Erasmus+ ADILE project, we focused on the development of a a set of tools aimed to promote PIDs’social inclusion:

Kaleide International School is committed to caring for the environment, respecting nature, combating climate change, and promoting environmental awareness.
To achieve this, we have implemented several policies and practices in our school operations. Our school is built on a renovated building that was constructed in the 1940s, and we take pride in preserving its architectural heritage. We collect rainwater for gardening and graywater to be reused in toilet water, reducing our water consumption. Our school ethos promotes contact with nature, and our students are encouraged to move freely in our spacious garden area.
We draw inspiration from democratic schools and forest schools. We have many windows that show the exterior, and solatubes direct natural light inside the building, minimizing the use of artificial lighting.
We strive to minimize our ecological footprint by using sustainable cleaning products, reducing the use of plastics and polluting materials, and using sustainable furniture and non-toxic, sustainable materials. In our kitchen, we prioritize local and organic produce, and we have a vegetable garden in development that will serve as a learning space for our children.
Finally, our blackwater sewage system uses microorganisms to purify residual water, reducing our impact on the environment.

Our conflict-solving approach emphasizes non-violent communication and restorative justice, promoting empathy and understanding.

The school operates in yurts on stilts to minimize its environmental impact, and we have already installed composting toilets to reduce water use.
Our education approach is eco-conscious, with children participating in hands-on activities like composting and gardening, teaching them sustainability through practical experience.
We also strive to use eco-friendly materials, minimize waste, and rely on locally sourced, natural resources in our daily practices.
