BUSTA activities have started! Each school of the three BUSTA countries will experience a series of activities related to the animal therapy organisation within each country: Brussels Outdoor School students will learn from their experiences with therapy dogs training to aid motor handicapped persons, Community for Democratic Education in Sofia will experience activities with therapy horses and the Montessori students in Klaipeda, with therapy dolphins.
In June, BOS welcomes Aika, a black labrador, currently in training with the association Dyadis, together with a member of the dog’s host family, in order for the students to get acquainted with the training practices, and understand the benefits for such a training, and the disabilities that these trained dogs will be in precious assistance for.
