Today, people often talk about “empathy”, that is to say the human ability to understand others’ moods. 

In human sciences, empathy is an attitude of listening to and understanding others, without any personal affective implication (sympathy, dislike) and without any moral judgment.

This workshop will explain the NVC principles and tools and will challenge you to experience them in an interactive way, with the aim of integrating them in your daily life.

The facilitator will share her experience and insight on how to use NVC communication with children and teenagers in the classroom and at home, in order to strengthen the sense of community and live more harmoniously. 

Who can join?
Teachers, parents, and anyone interested in learning the basics of Nonviolent Communication.

Meet the workshop facilitator
Valeria Mincione is a teacher at the democratic school of Albero della Tuscia in Farnese, Italy and has trained in NVC, designed by the psychologist Marshall Rosenberg (1934 – 2015). She joined the periodic meetings of “Artigiani di pace”, an informal association that helps making social change through NVC, organized NVC festivals and has offered NVC workshops to adults, teenagers and children, inspired by Rosenberg’s NVC, Miki Kashtan’s “Commitments” and her personal path.
