Hello hello 💃
May was the kind of month that reminds you why youth work and international projects matter so much. It’s been packed with exchanges, trainings, powerful conversations, and just the right mix of nature, activism, and storytelling.
The month started in the green fields of Lithuania, where Elena, Pamela, and Mathi represented QUEST in the latest YOU Care youth exchange. Together with our partners – Love and Care for People, Innovative Generation, For You Bulgaria, and Felcos Umbria – they spent a meaningful week exploring themes of eco-anxiety, youth participation, and climate action.
Set in the beautiful area of Trakai, the exchange offered space to connect with their emotions around the climate crisis, co-create ideas for a Green Youth Council, and begin drafting policy recommendations that will be presented this October here in Brussels

Right after Bulgaria, our Policy trainee, Pamela, joined a youth workers’ training in Slovenia, hosted by PiNA. The event brought together professionals from across Europe to share experiences and ideas on how to boost youth participation.
Through hands-on sessions and group discussions, they explored creative ways to design projects that really engage young people and help them take an active role in their communities.
And finally… Berlin! At the end of May, I had the opportunity to travel there with Sara for the first YOUDEX training, held at the Demokratische X-Schule and hosted by EUDEC.
For three days, young people from across the EU came together to share personal stories of lived democracy, engage in participatory workshops, and explore how storytelling can empower voices and strengthen democratic spaces.
We took time to connect with Berlin’s rich history during a reflective evening walk through the city. It was a space full of curiosity, courage, and connection—and just the beginning! The ideas and creative content sparked in Berlin will continue to grow over the coming months, leading up to a final showcase this summer at IDEC@EUDEC 2025 in Belgium. ✨
So yes, May was intense, but it also left us feeling energised, connected, and inspired. The kind of month that reminds you just how much young people have to say and how many powerful ways there are to listen.
See you in June!
XOXOÂ
