And just like that…2024 has gone by!

The last two months of the year were filled with new tasks, events, and exciting trips for us. Let’s recap, shall we? 🗓️

Shiny website, project ideas & commissioners’ hearings

In November, Elena was busy revamping QUEST’s website and with just a few changes, it became so much easier to navigate! She also started preparing QUEST’s communication strategy for 2025 and helped with the Membership Application Form.

This was also a big month for Sara and Andreia, as we both had the opportunity to join ArtCUBEation Camp: an online event in which we got to discuss two project ideas that emerged from a dream circle we had back in September. It’s always beautiful to see other people’s enthusiasm for something you are passionate about and care deeply for. 💖

On the policy side, Pamela attended the commissioner’s hearings, which ran from November 4 until the 12th. She then wrote a policy analysis on the underrepresentation of children’s rights in the commissioners’ agendas (which you can read here!). Our brilliant policy assistant also went to the EU Lifelong Learning Stakeholders’ Forum organized by the Lifelong Learning Platform.

Sunny and snowy trips, setting up the tree & wrapping up the year

Before the year ended, Andreia managed to be both in the sun and in the snow! In mid-November, Mathilda and her visited a forest school kindergarten in Mallorca, Spain, as part of the REGEN project. Then, a few weeks later, she joined Roxane for the second REGEN trip, in Italy. Here the snow was knee-deep and the kids played freely, unbothered by the cold. ☃️

In the meantime, our communication wizard, Elena, was preparing an interview about growth mindset, which you can now read on our website (Adopting a growth mindset in schools: a way forward). Sara helped with the DECUS KoM presentation and Pamela was introduced to the project’s team work.

Together, we all helped set up the Christmas tree (that may or may not still be at the office 🫣) and said goodbye to the old year with a cozy shared lunch.

And now onto 2025, with more adventures to come! 🤗

Cheers!🥂
