Our last month as European Solidarity Corps volunteers left us with beautiful memories and moments to cherish our journey. QUEST team went to Italy for two projects and some well-deserved quality time in the beautiful central italy.
Mathi, Agata & Dario planned a 24 hour trip from Brussels to Rome by (many) trains, passing through a total of 5 countries, in order to avoid taking the plane. It was a long but unforgettable journey, with beautiful landscapes and the time to reflect, read, talk, and visit new places.
Do you remember our first trip to Sofia for the DESC training? One year later, we met again with the partners and we finally visited the democratic School Albero della Tuscia. A school in the heart of a magical forest…
Between excursions in natural and prehistoric sites, games with the children, meetings with teachers and partners, a gelato and a pizza, we spent a beautiful week together and it was a nice way to close this adventure.
And right after it, Sara participated in the YGBN training in Foligno where with the partners they discussed how to involve more youth at risk in outdoor activities.
This month has come slowly to an end, we have started to pack our luggages and empty our rooms. So many memories and lessons learned, so much laughter and sometimes tears, it was a journey and we are proud and happy to have gone through it.
