YGBN

The project ‘’Youth Going Back to Nature – Engage, Connect, Empower’’ (YGBN) aims to aid young people with fewer opportunities in their mental and physical improvement, personal and professional development by bringing them back to nature through Environmentally Sustainable Outdoor Activities (ESOA).

The objective of YGBN is to enhance practicing ESOA, making them innovative and accessible to the young people across the 6 partnering countries –Bulgaria, Belgium, Lithuania, Italy, Estonia, Croatia.

Environmentally sustainable outdoors activities facilitate inclusion and provide therapy for the youth with disabilities and young people with health problems. Youth at risk can find their place in a welcoming community, gain confidence in their abilities, find inner peace and purpose. Through ESOA young women become aware and appreciate their strengths, embrace their potential.

objectives

  • Connect the youth community for better understanding and enhancement of environmentally sustainable outdoors activities.

  • Empower young people with fewer opportunities and the youth community to apply environmentally sustainable outdoors activities.

activities

  • Three Learning Exchange Events (LEE) for the 6 partnering organizations, each event will be dedicated to one of the target groups: youth with disabilities and health problems, young women and youth at risk. The events will be a chance to exchange and bring together each organization expertise in order to create better and innovative approaches to facilitate the engagement of young people and bring them “Back to Nature”.

  • Toolkits will be created and designed in a creative way and will contain the best practices and innovative approaches, developed during the LEEs, to engage young people with fewer opportunities in ESOA.
