This project aims to support the development of Sociocracy in European Schools, in order to foster the emergence of innovative and democratic educational centers enabling all school actors to actively participate in the decision-making process and where every voice is heard.
objectives
- we want to explore where European schools of different types have already had experience with sociocracy, to find out what challenges they have encountered and what benefits they have been able to derive from them;
- to organize several focus groups and workshops for interested schools, to spread the knowledges and practices of sociocracy in schools;
- to develop a handbook for schools and all their actors, which can support them in introducing sociocracy in European schools.
activities
- Activity 1-RESEARCH: a innovative study to explore and investigate and divulge features, benefits and implications of applying sociocracy into European schools;
- Activity 2- WORKSHOP: four free online seminars to spread knowledge about Sociocracy in schools;
- Activity 3- GUIDELINES: to help Schools start using sociocracy, activating a process of democratization and inclusion and follow best practices.
